Tyler Huddleston
Jan 12, 1973 — Oct 15, 2026
Tyler Huddleston, age 53, formerly of Newnan, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Born on January 12, 1973, Tyler was raised in Newnan, Georgia, where he spent much of his life. A talented carpenter and craftsman, Tyler had a remarkable ability to work with his hands, creating and restoring things with skill and pride. He was intelligent, hardworking, and gifted with talents that those who knew him will always remember.
Tyler’s life was not without struggles. He battled addiction for many years, a disease that brought challenges, heartache, and distance from those who loved him. Yet, his struggles did not define the entirety of who he was. Beyond addiction was a son, a brother, an uncle, and a man who experienced moments of happiness, love, accomplishment, and hope. His family chooses to remember not only the battles he faced but also the person he was beyond them.
His story serves as a heartfelt reminder that addiction can affect anyone, regardless of their talents, intelligence, or the love surrounding them. His family hopes that sharing this part of Tyler’s journey will encourage others who are struggling to seek help and remind families facing similar circumstances that hope and compassion remain important, even in the most difficult seasons.
Tyler was preceded in death by his mother, Violet Miles; his father, Darrell Huddleston; his maternal grandparents, Joseph Lewis Sr. and Sybil Lewis; and his paternal grandparents, Robert and Sue Huddleston.
He is survived by his sisters, Karen (Todd) Strickland of Newnan, Georgia, and Cynthia (Kipp) Kline of Molena, Georgia; his former wife, BJ Huddleston of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Though Tyler’s journey was difficult and his life ended far too soon, his family finds comfort in knowing that his struggles have come to an end. He will be remembered for the good days, the memories shared, the talents he possessed, and the love that never disappeared, even through years of separation.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a local homeless shelter, addiction recovery organization, or crisis assistance center in Tyler’s memory. It is their hope that, through these acts of kindness, someone else may find the help, compassion, and opportunity for a better tomorrow that so many desperately need.
May Tyler finally find the peace that so often eluded him in life.
