Shannon Serena

May 27, 1954 — Aug 6, 2026

Shannon Serena May 27, 1954 – August 6, 2026 On August 6, 2026, Shannon Serena passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the people she loved. Shannon Kay Macy was born on May 27, 1954, in Boise, Idaho, to Lester and Grace Macy. She grew up in Eagle and graduated from Meridian High School. Throughout her life, Shannon created a life filled with family, friendship, laughter, creativity, music, and love. Shannon had a wonderfully free spirit. Her hippie soul could shine through in the things she loved most—riding motorcycles with Gary, camping, traveling to the Oregon coast, listening to music with old friends at Harry’s, laughing, and simply enjoying life.

Shannon was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Grace Macy; her mother-in-law, Naomi Shields; her father-in-law, Larry Serena; Her brothers Emmett, Mark, and Dennis Macy, her son-in-law, Rick Garza; her niece, Shelly Dilworth; and other loved ones whose memories she carried throughout her life. She is survived by her husband, Gary Serena; her daughter, Mindy Brenner, and her husband, Gary Brenner; her sister, Pamela Johnson; and her extended family, including her 4 sister in-laws, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, honorary family members, friends, and loved ones who were fortunate enough to share in her life. Shannon leaves behind much more than memories. She leaves behind pieces of herself—in the people she loved, the friendships she nurtured, the cookies she baked, the dolls she created, the music she enjoyed, the laughter she shared, and the kindness she gave so freely.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.  A Celebration of Life honoring Shannon will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. RL Event Center 633 2nd Avenue South Payette, Idaho 83661Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Shannon’s life, share memories, stories, COOKIES, and honor the love and joy she brought to so many people.
