Donald Lloyd Burgess, 55, of Hopkins, South Carolina, passed away November 30, 2025, at Prisma Health Richland Columbia, South Carolina. He was born on May 11, 1970 in Columbus, Georgia to F. Richard and Bonnie (Nichols) Burgess. 

Donald is survived by: Bonnie Burgess (mother), Miranda Burgess (daughter), Richard Burgess (brother), Sherie Burgess Scott (sister), and Jonah Rep (grandson).

He was preceded in death by: F Richard Burgess (father).

Funeral services will be graveside at Greenlawn Memorial Park on December 15th at 2PM with Pastor David Spears officiating. Please make sure to dress warm as this service will take place outdoors. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. Flowers may be sent to Thompson Funeral Home.
