Tommy Browder

Tommy Browder 81, of Elloree, South Carolina, passed away May 13th, 2026 at Lexington Community Hospice House - Agape Care.

Born in Columbia, SC on August 10, 1944, son to the late Burt Thomas Browder and Ruth Knight.

Tommy along with his wife Betty was a business owner of the Texaco in Forest Acres from 1977 until retiring in 2005. Prior to owning his own business he worked for Pet Dairy and Jesse Jones. He was well known throughout the community as a strong, loyal, independent hard working man. He will be remembered by the commitment he had to providing for his family first and foremost.

Tommy was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved being outdoors and spending time on the water and enjoying the simple things nature had to offer. Though most didn't see this side of him he was a prankster and jokester at heart. His presence will be missed immensely by many.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife, Betty Browder; son, Tommy Browder, Jr (Andrea); daughter, Jeannie Browder-McLamb; son, Burt Browder (Stacey); grandchildren, Ashton McLamb-Doyle, Kirstein Browder; great grandchildren, Blaine Heyward Hoffman-McLamb, Anthony Desporte, Dakota Claire Browder; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Burt Thomas Browder; mother, Ruth Knight; and sister, Martha Keller.

The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn on Tuesday, May 19th from 5pm-7pm. Funeral services will be at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn on Wednesday, May 20 at 11am with Dwayne Styles officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
