William "Billy" Harley Green Sr.
Sep 14, 1963 — Sep 14, 2026
William “Billy” Harley Green Sr. passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026, his 63rd birthday, following a brief battle with illness.
Billy was born on September 14, 1963, in Sharon, Connecticut, to James T. Green Sr. and Jane Marie Green. He later made his home in South Carolina and graduated from Lexington High School.
Billy spent 27 years working for Michelin North America, building a career and friendships that spanned nearly three decades. His connection to Michelin continues through his son, Will, who followed in his father’s footsteps and still works there today.
Outside of work, Billy was an avid reader who loved fantasy novels as well as fishing, playing video games, and, perhaps most importantly, a good meal. He found happiness in the simple things and in time spent with the people he loved.
Billy is survived by his four siblings: James T. Green Jr. (Jean), Teresa Walker, Deborah McNair (Hank), and Elizabeth Brazell.
He is also survived by his three children: Will Green (Megan), Drew Green (Katie), and Katie Douglas (Thomas); and his eight grandchildren, Forest, Jack, and Maggie Green; Ben, Izzy, Evie, and Alex Green; and Lexi Douglas.
Billy leaves behind a legacy through his friends, coworkers and family that will be felt for years to come.
