Bernice J. Morgan

Bernice Jeffcoat Morgan, 86, of Lexington, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on April 21, 2026 after a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer surrounded by loved ones.

The Memorial Service for Mrs. Morgan will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Cornerstone Church (located in the East Point Academy auditorium), 1043 Chris Drive West Columbia, SC 29169. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 PM prior to the service.

Born on April 5, 1940 in North, SC, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Vera Dell Jeffcoat. She met her husband of 65 years, Gene Morgan, when they were in college. They built a beautiful life together and raised three amazing sons in Lexington, SC. Bernice was steadfast in her faith, the center of her family and the most amazing “Mimi”. She was a wonderful cook, enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. In addition to being a Homemaker, she worked part time at Mt. Hebron Day School for many years.

She is survived by her loving husband; children, Chris ( Debbie) Morgan and Glenn Morgan; Grandchildren, DJ ( Tiffany) Morgan, Jessica ( Dean) Gable, Karli ( Josh) Ward, Derek Morgan, Justin Morgan and Abbi ( Alexa) Morgan; Great-Grandchildren, Haiden Stockton, Baylee Barber, Noah Gable, Parker Morgan and Mason Morgan; two brothers, Roger (Bertie) Jeffcoat and Clyde (Rita) Jeffcoat.

She was preceded in death by her son, David Morgan; and brothers, Earl Jeffcoat, Kenneth Jeffcoat and Michael Jeffcoat.
