Betty Dearlove

Betty Dearlove, born July 24, 1937, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy came from the people she loved. She dedicated her life to her family, creating a home filled with love, compassion, and countless cherished moments. Her kindness, strength, and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Betty will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the wisdom she shared, and the special bond she created with her family. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and her love will continue to guide and comfort them for generations to come.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Columbus W. Dearlove; her son, Chadwick Dearlove; her father, Calvin B. Johnson; and her mother, Thelma Duncan Johnson.

Betty is survived by her children, Carla Dominick Tim, Carl Dearlove, Chris Dearlove Sandra, and Cheryl Paradiso-Hill Jeff. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride, happiness, and love. She is also survived by her sister, Arrie Lanier Terry, and many nieces and nephews.

Though she will be deeply missed, Betty’s memory will live on through the stories shared, the lessons taught, and the love she planted in the hearts of her family. Her legacy is one of devotion, warmth, and unconditional love.

On Thursday, July 9, 2026, a visitation will be at 1:00 PM, funeral services will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, Augusta Highway, Lexington, South Carolina, at 2:00 PM, and burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
