Sunrise 10/7/ 1975 Sunset 10/29/ 2026

Christopher Lloyd, who also went by Hotball Petey was born to the late Jessie Bell Brown and James Lloyd. He is also proceeded in death by his grandmother Fannie Lloyd on father side and Mary Jane Chappell on mother side and brother Vernon Lloyd.

Those that will cherish his memories his wife Debra Black Lloyd, his three children Christopher Lloyd Jr, Lamont Lloyd and daughter Kristina Lloyd. Two sisters Tasha Lloyd (wife Crystal Burnett), Jamie Regina Lloyd Parker (husband Stephen Parker), also his stepchildren Christopher Coleman, Lewis Barnes, Anthony Coleman, and Tiffany Coleman, all of North Carolina. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a devoted and loving lady friend Nikki Rutherford whom we give special thanks to!!!

Chris was educated at lower Richland High School at the time of his departure. He was employed at Fresh Express while residing at the House of Peace in Lexington, South Carolina. Chris enjoyed fishing, cooking, “cutting a rug” as he would say laughing and joking. He just enjoyed people and though he is no longer here physically with us, his loving and kind spirit will forever live in our hearts!!!!

Chris was devoted to overcoming steppingstones, mending relationships, and adamant about change. He understood he was not perfect as well as no one is perfect. He looked forward to doing the right thing and showing people that with God in his life, he could take it one day at a time and overcome any obstacle set before him. Chris built many relationships. He had a brotherhood. He built a family at the Watershed Fellowship of Lexington, South Carolina. He enjoyed going to church on Sunday and giving out hugs. He enjoyed going to work, enjoyed his coworkers and his job. Chris was recently promoted to a better position within the company that he was happy about. Chris will be deeply missed!!!

The Broken Chain – Author Unknown We knew little that morning that God was going to call your name, In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone. For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, Your love is still our guide, And though we cannot see you, You are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems to be the same, But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again.

You got your wings before us now, you can rest in peace. One thing is for certain, you will forever be deeply missed!
