CAYCE – Cynthia Harmon “Cindy” Moody, 64, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, surrounded by the family who was her entire world. A woman of quiet strength and unwavering loyalty, Cindy was the steady heart of her home and a light to all who knew her.

​Born to David Harmon Sr. and the late Joanne Harmon, Cindy’s life was defined by her devotion to those she loved. In 1986, she married Terry Moody, her husband of nearly 40 years, building a foundation of faithfulness that never wavered. For over four decades, Cindy served at First Citizens Bank, where her integrity and work ethic earned her the deep respect of her colleagues and community.

​While she was a fiercely proud mother to her son, TJ, Cindy found her soul’s greatest calling as “Granny” to her granddaughter, Eliza. To Cindy, Eliza wasn’t just a grandchild; she was her greatest joy and her favorite person. Their bond was a world of its own—one built on a language of inside jokes, deep belly laughs, and a natural, effortless connection that needed no words. Whether they were playing, talking, or just being together, Cindy’s heart lived most fully wherever Eliza was. The “Granny” magic she gave Eliza is a gift that will remain steady and true forever.

​Cindy loved the ocean, long walks on the beach, and the simple peace of the outdoors. She was a woman of constant prayer and a protector of her family. She is survived by her husband, Terry; her father, David Sr.; her son, TJ; her daughter-in-law, Ashley; her beloved Eliza; and her brother, David Jr.

​A visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington, SC on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 from 1-2PM, followed by a graveside service at 2:30PM at Southland Memorial Gardens in West Columbia, SC. In honor of her laid-back and authentic spirit, the family encourages guests to attend in casual attire.
