Eddie Ellisor, 62, of West Columbia, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones, on July 1, 2026.

Born on March 5, 1964, in Columbia, South Carolina, Eddie was the son of Don and Judy Ellisor. He graduated from Lexington High School with the Class of 1982 before earning an Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology from Midlands Technical College. He dedicated his career to serving the State of South Carolina, working in Information Technology with the Department of Motor Vehicles and later the Legislative Services Agency.

In 2018, Eddie married the love of his life, Alison. Together they shared eight wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.

Outside of work, Eddie had a deep love for the outdoors and music. He was a devoted family man, a proud and loving grandfather, and an avid outdoorsman. Known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and genuine care for others, Eddie earned the respect and admiration of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Whether gathered with family or friends, he was often the life of the party, bringing joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories wherever he went.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Alison; his sisters, Melody Hall (Chris) and Janis Lewis (Tom); his daughters, Mollie Engram (Ellis), Bailey Huffstetler (Taylor), and Aubrey Hicks (Kaden); his stepchildren, Zack Jones (Nicole) and Rachel Jones (Dylan); his seven beloved grandchildren; and his lifelong best friend, Scott Gage. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Judy Ellisor.

A Celebration of Eddie's Life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, South Carolina. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate the life of a man who brought so much love, laughter, and kindness to those around him.
