Frankie Manardia Grigsby

Frankie Manardia Grigsby, 93, of West Columbia, SC, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2026. He was born and raised in Cayce, SC. As the son of a farmer, he developed a love of the land and his kind and generous spirit prompted him to share his harvest with friends and family. He was an active member of Laurel Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and participated in the Senior Adults group. He retired from Overnite Transportation after many years of truck driving.

Frankie has been reunited with his wife of 69 years, Lorine Jones Grigsby; parents, Glenn and Henrietta Grigsby; son, Frankie Joel Grigsby; brothers, Elbert, Marion, Tommie, and Jimmy; sister, Virginia. He is survived by daughter, Paula Goodman; son, Jimmy Grigsby (Charlene); grandchildren, Terry Wayne Goodman, Jr. (Lisa), Traci Goodman, Lori Hagar (Patrick), and Jenna Grigsby; great-grandchildren, Melody Goodman and Charlie Turner; sister, Carrie Goodwin; brother, Johnny Grigsby.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 from 6-8pm at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2026 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington at 1pm followed by a graveside service at Woodridge Memorial Park.
