Glenn Eugene Deese
Aug 8, 1956 — Oct 24, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glenn Eugene Deese, Jr., a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who departed this world on October 24, 2026. Born on August 8, 1956, in Winnsboro, South Carolina, Glenn was the cherished son of Glenn, Sr. and Myrtle Deese.
A proud 1974 graduate of Brookland-Cayce High School, Glenn went on to become a successful entrepreneur, owning and operating several businesses throughout his career. His keen business acumen was matched only by his generous spirit and willingness to help others, always extending a hand and offering support to those around him. He loved investing in the market and real estate, and took great pleasure in sharing his knowledge to help others succeed.
Glenn shared a beautiful life with his loving wife, Linda, to whom he was married for 42 wonderful years. He cherished spending time at the beach with his family and passionately cheering on Gamecock football.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Linda; his two sons, Glenn Eugene Deese III (Ashley) of Columbia, SC, and Austin Tyler Deese (Leslie) of West Columbia, SC; his mother, Myrtle Deese; and his two brothers, Parris Deese (Kathy) of Lexington, SC, and Darren Deese (Dena) of Pelion, SC. He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Eugene Deese, Sr.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington, SC.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to the Hospitality House of Charlotte, located at 1400 Scott Ave, Charlotte, NC 28203.
