Helen Ann White

A Life Remembered

Mrs. Helen Ann White, 89, of Cayce, passed away quietly on the morning of 16 August 2026. Mrs. White was married to Aubrey D. “Gus” White, Master Sergeant US Air Force (retired), who preceded her in passing earlier this year on 28 March 2026. She is survived by her sons: David and his wife Cathy; JC and his wife Lorrie; and adopted sons JD Walker and Michael Gringmuth. Her grandchildren include: Krystal and Anna (David); and, Cullen, Kaitlen, and Beth (and her husband Tyler) (JC).

Mrs. White was born in Marfrance, West Virginia to Peeler Hughes French (father) and Mable Ann Auxier French (mother) on 20 August 1936. Her siblings included Bonnie French, Wilma Randolph, and Robert French, Alice Salmi, who all preceded her passing.

Mrs. White found great joy in family gatherings, cooking, antiques, travel and in nature.

As a military spouse, Mrs. White supported her husband, her family and household throughout his career with assignments in Colorado, Florida, Michigan, California, South Carolina, Nebraska, Tennessee, and the United Kingdom and Germany. She was a proud member of State Street Baptist Church in Cayce.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 22 at 12pm at State Street Baptist Church 1420 State St, Cayce, SC 29033.
