Iris S. Wellborn

Services for Iris S. Wellborn will be Thursday, September 10th at 10:00am at Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina, 700 Davega Drive, Lexington, SC. Visitation will follow at 11:00 at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC. Graveside service will follow at 12:30 at Pisgah Lutheran Church, 1350 Pisgah Church Road, Lexington, SC.

Ms. Wellborn died Friday, September 4th, 2026 at the age of 92. Ms. Wellborn was a stay at home Mom for many years before working at Sessions Department Store on Main Street in Lexington. Then she volunteered at “Becky's Place” at Lexington Medical Center for many years.

Ms. Wellborn was predeceased by her husband, Roy Wellborn and son, Samuel (Sam) Wellborn.

Surviving are two sons, Tim Wellborn (and wife, Cyndi) and Dan Wellborn. Four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
