James William Dallaire
Jun 19, 1938 — May 10, 2026
James “Jimmy” William Dallaire, 87, passed away on May 10, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. Jimmy had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and could make anyone laugh within seconds with his quick wit and mischievous smile.
Predeceased by the love of his life, Gwen Dallaire, with whom he shared 59 years of devotion and countless adventures, his beloved son, Jamie, his parents Charles and Dorothy, and siblings Audrey Polson (Bill), Jeannie Turner (Moody), Pierre Dallaire (Hazel), and Charles Dallaire.
Jimmy is survived by his beloved daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Eddie Crim; His Pride and Joy grandchildren, Cody, Mackenzie, and Grayson—affectionately known as Poppy; his sister-in-law Janice Bazen (Gerald); brother-in-law Ronnie Prosser; and a circle of nieces, nephews, and friends who all felt his love and humor.
Jimmy enjoyed golfing, bowling, cheering for Clemson, and especially anything that involved his grandchildren—Poppy and Nanny were their #1 fans. Saturdays often found him cruising garage sales in search of bargains, usually chewing on a cigar and a grin that said, “I just found a treasure.”
Jimmy’s life was full of warmth, laughter, and love, and he leaves behind a legacy of joy that will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A celebration of his life will be held Thursday May 14 at our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church. Visitation from 9 am to 10 with the service immediately following.
