John F. Prevatte, III

John Furman Prevatte, III, 75, of Cayce, SC, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026. John was born on December 17, 1950 to the late John Furman Prevatte, Jr. and Arrie Wall Prevatte of Greeleyville, SC.

John graduated from Greeleyville High School and was in the Air Force Reserves. He retired from Baptist Medical Center.

Surviving are his wife of over 42 years, Elizabeth Eagerton Prevatte; daughters, Jessica Prevatte Mowery (Alex) of Lexington, SC and Megan Prevatte DeFeo (Joe) of Myrtle Beach, SC; five grandchildren: Hadley and Shepard Mowery of Lexington, SC, Avery, Landon and Noah DeFeo of Myrtle Beach, SC; a sister, Carolyn Prevatte Tisdale (Arthur) of Kingstree, SC; four nieces and five nephews, four great nieces and five great nephews.

Services will be held at Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington, SC on Saturday, August 1, 2026 with visitation at 11:00 and service at 12:00.
