Johnny Preston Slice, Jr.

Johnny Preston Slice Jr has peacefully passed away in his home on July 16th 2026.

He was born on January 17, 1951, in Florence, South Carolina to Johnny Preston Slice Sr and Sallie Mae Tilton Slice.

Johnny dedicated over 20 years of his career as a service manager in the industrial tire field. He also dedicated to his country as a first Sergeant of the US Army. He had a lifelong love for animals and ran his own pet shop in West Columbia.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Martine Pelchat Slice.

Johnny leaves behind his siblings, Herman Michael Slice, Danny Slice, and Cindy Slice-Douthat, as well as his children: Johnny Preston Slice III (and his wife Karrie Odom Slice), Joseph Real Slice (and his wife Heather Jernigan Slice), and Joshua Tyler Slice.

He was also the proud grandfather of Madison Ann Slice, Brandon Joseph Slice, and Emily Kayla Slice.

At the family’s request there will be no service at this time.
