Karen Lynn Carter

Karen Lynn Carter, 50, of West Columbia, South Carolina passed away July 26, 2019 peacefully at home. She was born on May 2, 1969 in Columbia, South Carolina to Ronald Rhea and the late Elaine Abbott. Karen had a zest for life. She never met a stranger and could light up any room. Karen was definitely a people person and would do anything for a person. She had a great love for her siblings and her nieces and nephews. Karen was a very happy person and loved life to the fullest. Karen is survived by her father, Ronald L Rhea Sr.; her brother, Ronny Rhea; her sister, Rhonda (Hampton) Redman; her nieces, Candace E. Collins, Savannah (Dalton) Peeples, Cheyenne R. Rhea and Elaine Burkett; her nephews, Waeland Peeples, Wyatt Peeples and Korey Mitchum. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Ronny Rhea III and her Grandparents, Bessie and Kenneth Wiseman, Joe P. Rhea and Gussie Mae Rhea. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2019 in the chapel at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington.
