Otto Bob Hancock was 87, son of Otto and Marion J. Hancock. Predeceased by his parents, sister Mary Nell Kennet, daughter Faith Curtiss, and daughter-in-law Robbin Hancock.

Surviving are his wife Becky Hancock, daughter Laurel (Cliff) Cogburn, son Ted Hancock, daughter Beverly Hancock, daughter Rebecca (Jerry) Bowers, grandchildren; Kelly Cogburn, Lydia Cogburn, Illinois, Sarah (Aziz) Hasanain Saudia Arabia, Tyler (Jill) Hopkins, Nikki (Luke) Beaman.

Born 07/13/1939 in Timmonsville, SC, Bob completed 20 years in the Navy. He served as air traffic controller in many duty stations including Midway Island; Dallas, Texas; Memphis, TN; on the aircraft carrier USS Hornet, and New Orleans, LA. After retirement, he received his associate degree in Business Administration from Columbia College. He held various positions in maintenance until his retirement from the Rahcock Center.

The family wishes to thank Baptist Hospital ICU and Hospice Care for their excellent care. The nurses made our loved one's last days more comfortable.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026 from 11:30am - 12:30pm at State Street Baptist Church, with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Elmwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to State Street Baptist Church Building Fund, 1420 State Street, Cayce, SC 29033.
