Peter J. Eaglestone
Apr 26, 1947 — Aug 30, 2026
Peter John Eaglestone joined his Savior Jesus Christ and his soulmate August 30, 2026. He was predeceased by his parents Doris and Gilbert Eaglestone, Brother, Tony Eaglestone, devoted wife, Virginia Eaglestone and great-grandson Jaxyn Gates. He is survived by his daughters Deborah Hunslow (Geoff), Racheal Haddadene and Laura Eaglestone; Son, Daniel Eaglestone; Bonus Daughters, Rena Gordon (Kent) Amber Wingard (Brandon) 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Peter lived a life that crossed an ocean and, ultimately, followed his heart, blessing him with two full-loving families. Peter was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to all that met him.
Born and raised in Reading, in the United Kingdom, Peter spent his early years surrounded by the places, traditions, and people that shaped him. He was blessed with three daughters and a son in the UK, he would gladly share their joys and the pride like only a father could. Though the distance was far, his love for his children and grandchildren could reach around the world and back. But life had something unexpected in store for him when love brought him across the Atlantic to the United States. Rather than allowing distance or uncertainty to stand in his way, Peter made the courageous decision to leave the familiar behind and begin a new chapter in America with the woman he loved and soulmate, Virginia. He was blessed again with two bonus daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, and great grandchildren he loved.
His journey from the UK to the United States was more than a change of address. It was a testament to Peter's willingness to take a chance on love, embrace a new life, and build a future far from where he had begun. In America, he created a home and a life filled with family, friendships, and memories that will remain with those who knew him.
Peter will be remembered not simply for where he came from or where he ultimately settled, but for the love that connected those two worlds. His story was one of courage, devotion, and the belief that sometimes the greatest adventures begin when we have the courage to follow our hearts.
He leaves behind family and friends who will miss his presence deeply spread far and wide across the ocean and treasure the memories they shared with him. Though he may have traveled far from his birthplace, the love he found and the life he built became his final chapter extending his loving legacy.
Peter's journey began in the UK, continued across an ocean, and found its destination in the heart of the woman whom he loved and who loved him so very much.
A Celebration of his life will be held September 19, 2026 at Independent Fellowship of the Living Word located at 3595 SC-6, Lexington, SC 29073 at 12:00pm.
