Robert Dean Slice

Robert Dean Slice, age 63, of West Columbia, SC died on Friday, June 19, 2026 after an extended battle with heart issues. Born in West Columbia, he was the son of the late Robert Ansel Slice and the late Caro Bickley Slice.

Mr. Slice is survived by his wife, Linda Faye Slice; his brother, Joseph C. Slice; his stepmother, Irma Lou Slice; and his aunts, Janell Slice Turner Barrett, and Retha Slice. His Uncle David Bickley as well as many cousins in the Bickley family.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Carmen A. Slice, and sister-in-law Julie Slice.

He played baseball in the West Columbia league as a young boy and was coached by his father, was confirmed in the Lutheran faith, and was a long term employee of Midas.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, July 3rd at 11 a.m. in the Celestial Memorial Gardens, 3111 Delree Street, West Columbia, SC 29170

There will be a social gathering held immediately after services at Thompson Funeral Home 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073.
