Russell "Rusty" Bryan Waters

Russell (Rusty) Bryan Waters of West Columbia passed away unexpectedly on October 14, 2026. He was 57 years old, born on March 31, 1969 in Columbia, SC.

Rusty graduated from Brookland Cayce High School in 1987 and received his associates degree in Heating and Cooling from Midlands Technical College in 1994. He worked for several different Heating and Cooling Companies over the years.

Rusty loved vacationing with his family at the beach and the mountains. He had a love for 80’s rock bands and TV shows, WWF wrestling, fishing, hunting, Gamecock and Carolina Panthers football and grilling with his dad. He was a member at Trinity Baptist Church in Cayce, SC.

He is survived by his parents, Ray and Joyce Waters; his sister, Kim (Mike) Evans; nephew, Bryce Evans; niece, Sydney (Kyle) Chavis; and aunt, Donna Hardy.

The memorial service will take place at The Chapel of Hope at Southland Memorial Gardens at 700 West Dunbar Road West Columbia, SC 29170 on Friday October 23, 2026 at 3pm.
