Ann D. Sheridan

Ann (Carey) Sheridan of Stony Point, NY, formerly of West Haverstraw passed away May 11, 2026 in Nyack, NY surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 3, 1937 in the Bronx, NY to the late Thomas and Winnie (McHugh) Carey. Ann married the love of her life, John F. Sheridan on September 21, 1957 at the Church of the Good Shepherd in the Inwood section of New York. They moved to Rockland County in 1966. Ann retired from Letchworth Village in 1994 after working there for 21 years as a Medical Records Clerk. Ann is survived by her children John (Mary) Sheridan of Blue Ridge, VA, Jean (Steve) Bellon of Stony Point, NY, Tara (Michael) Brady of Oak Island, NC, Christine (Frank) Onderdonk of Garnerville, NY, 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband John (2012), her granddaughter Amie Sheridan (2024), her sisters Kathleen (Patrick) Dowd, Mary (Thomas) Dowd, Winnie (William) Ward, Theresa Carey and Helen (John) Kearney and her sister-in-law Rosemary (Michael) Powers.

Ann was a charter member of the West Haverstraw Senior Citizens Club. She was also a member of the Stony Point Senior Citizens Club where she enjoyed many trips with her friends. She was also a member of the Red Hat Perennial Club. Ann especially enjoyed playing cards with her friends Dot, Bridget and Marilyn.

Ann was devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren often sharing photo’s with friends.

The family would like to thank her friend Carmel our Irish Fairy for providing love and support for our mother and making every day an adventure.

Family will receive family and friends on Sunday May 17, 2026 from 1-5pm at the T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY 10923. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Monday May 18, 2026 at The Church of the Immaculate Conception 26 John Street, Stony Point, NY 10980 with interment to follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
