Francisco Geraldo Reynoso partió a la Casa del Padre el 8 de julio de 2026, rodeado del amor de su familia.

Nació el 18 de noviembre de 1946 en San José de las Matas, Santiago, República Dominicana. Fue hijo de Consuelo Reynoso y Jesús Olivo. Siendo joven se trasladó a la ciudad de Santiago, donde sirvió con orgullo como miembro de la Policía Nacional. Más adelante emigró a Nueva York en busca de nuevas oportunidades. Fue allí donde conoció al amor de su vida, Gladys. Juntos compartieron 51 maravillosos años de matrimonio, construyendo una vida basada en la fe, el amor, el trabajo y la familia.

A lo largo de su vida, Geraldo fue reconocido por su extraordinaria ética de trabajo, su integridad y su perseverancia. Creía en hacer las cosas bien, trabajó incansablemente por todo lo que logró y siempre dio ejemplo con sus acciones.

Geraldo fue un hombre de carácter tranquilo y con un gran sentido del humor. Aunque era un hombre de pocas palabras, siempre tenía un chiste o una historia para compartir. Tenía el don de hacer sentir bienvenidos a todos, disfrutaba recibir a familiares y amigos en su hogar, y quienes lo conocieron jamás olvidarán la manera tan especial en que los saludaba.

La música fue una de sus grandes pasiones. Con los años reunió una increíble colección de discos de vinilo, casetes y CD. A medida que la tecnología avanzó, también adoptó YouTube. Si entrabas a su casa, lo más probable era que hubiera música sonando.

Durante sus años en Nueva York, el boliche fue su pasatiempo favorito por más de dos décadas. Al jubilarse, regresó a su querida República Dominicana, donde disfrutó de una vida más tranquila y de las cosas sencillas que tanto amaba. Cambió la bolera por la mesa de dominó, disfrutó de viajes de fin de semana, cultivó grandes amistades y pasó incontables horas compartiendo con sus amigos, siempre y cuando la música estuviera sonando. Verlo tan feliz en esta etapa de su vida fue un regalo para todos los que lo amaban.

La familia lo era todo para Geraldo. Disfrutaba cada momento junto a su esposa, sus hijos, sus nietas, sus familiares y sus amigos. Fue un hombre generoso, atento, organizado y siempre dispuesto a ayudar a los demás. Sobre todo, fue un hombre de profunda fe, cuyos valores se reflejaban en la manera en que vivía cada día.

Geraldo deja a su amada esposa de 51 años, Gladys; a sus queridos hijos, Sandi y su esposo, Gary, Laura y Jennifer; a sus adoradas nietas, Janee, Olivia, Gabriela y Amelia; a sus hermanos, Jorge y Maritza; además de numerosos sobrinos, familiares y amigos que

conservarán por siempre su recuerdo. Le precedió en la muerte su hermano y mejor amigo, Antonio.

Familiares y amigos podrán despedirse de Geraldo el lunes 13 de julio de 2026, 3:00pm-8:00pm en la Funeraria T.J. McGowan Sons, en Garnerville, Nueva York.

La Misa de Funeral se celebrará el martes 14 de julio de 2026 a las 10:00 a.m. en la Iglesia San Pedro y Santa María in Haverstraw NY, seguida por el sepelio.

En lugar de flores, la familia agradece que quienes así lo deseen hagan una donación a la Despensa de Alimentos de la Iglesia San Pedro y Santa María o al Ministerio Juvenil de la Iglesia San Pedro y Santa María, en memoria de Geraldo. De esta manera, su generosidad, su fe y su amor por los demás seguirán dando fruto.

Que Geraldo descanse en la paz de Cristo y que la luz perpetua brille para él. Que su alma y las almas de todos los fieles difuntos, por la misericordia de Dios, descansen en paz.

Born on November 18, 1946, in San José de las Matas, Santiago, Dominican Republic, Geraldo was the son of Consuelo Reynoso and Jesús Olivo. As a young man, he moved to the city of Santiago, where he proudly served as a police officer. Seeking new opportunities, he later immigrated to New York. It was in New York that he met the love of his life, Gladys. Together they shared 51 wonderful years of marriage, building a life rooted in faith, love, hard work, and family.

Throughout his life, Geraldo was known for his incredible work ethic, integrity, and determination. He believed in doing things the right way, worked hard for everything he had, and quietly led by example.

Geraldo was a man of quiet strength with a wonderful sense of humor. Though he was a man of few words, he always had a joke or story to share. He had a way of making people feel welcome, loved having family and friends stop by, and no one who knew him will ever forget the way he greeted them.

Music was one of Geraldo's greatest joys. Over the years, he built an incredible collection of vinyl records, cassette tapes, and CDs. As technology changed, he happily embraced YouTube. If you walked into his home, chances are music was playing.

During his working years in New York, bowling was his favorite pastime for more than two decades. After retiring, he returned home to the Dominican Republic, where he embraced a slower pace of life and the simple joys that meant so much to him. He traded the bowling alley for the domino table, enjoyed weekend trips, cultivated lasting friendships, and spent countless hours with friends—as long as the music was playing. Seeing him so happy in this chapter of his life was a gift to those who loved him.

Family was everything to Geraldo. He treasured every visit with his wife, children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends. He was generous, thoughtful, organized, and always willing to help others. Above all, he was a man of deep faith whose actions reflected the values he lived by every day.

Geraldo is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Gladys; his loving children, Sandi and her husband, Gary, Laura, and Jennifer; his cherished grandchildren, Janee, Olivia, Gabriela, and Amelia; his siblings, Jorge and Maritza; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother and best friend, Antonio.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 3pm-8pm at T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at St. Peter & St. Mary Church, followed by interment.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the St. Peter & St. Mary Food Pantry or the St. Peter & St. Mary Youth Ministry in Geraldo's memory. Through these ministries, his generosity, faith, and love for others will continue to make a difference.

May Geraldo rest in the peace of Christ, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
