Joseph F. Sena III

Jul 26, 1961 — Oct 20, 2026

It is with profound sadness and love that we announce the passing of Joseph F. Sena III, who departed this world on October 20, 2026, at his cherished childhood home in Garnerville, NY. Born on July 26, 1961, in Leominster, MA., Joe spent his final days surrounded by the warmth and comfort of his loving family and friends, as he bravely battled cancer.

Joseph was the beloved son of the late Joseph F. Sena Jr. and Carol Sena (née Miner). He now joins his father and his dear sister, Patricia Sakowicz, in eternal peace. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to his surviving family: his mother, Carol J. Sena; sister, Christine Confrey; brother, Robert and sister-in-law Denise; his treasured nieces and nephews, Megan Appel (née Confrey), Jake Confrey, and Ashley and Nicholas Sena. Joe's life was also enriched by his special friends, Nicole Kuftiak, and Josh Lungen, who stood by him through it all, with unwavering love and support.

Joe graduated from Don Bosco Prep High School in Ramsey, NJ, where he was a proud Ironman on the football team. Joe was self-employed as the owner of JEMM Lighting at the time of his passing. Known as a jack-of-all-trades, Joe could repair anything from computers to cars, plumbing to household gadgets. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to explore various business ventures, including the buying and selling of collectibles like Beanie Babies, Furby toys, and baseball and Pokémon cards. Joe approached every challenge with an inventive mind and a knack for problem-solving.

Beyond his professional achievements, Joe had a deep passion for bowling. He was a dedicated member of three leagues and proudly celebrated several perfect 300 games. He also enjoyed hiking and weightlifting in his spare time, and would never shy away from a friendly debate.

Joe was known for his strong, independent spirit and private nature. He was the rock and protector of his family, who he loved dearly. He was always eager to lend a helping hand to friends and loved ones. His unwavering support and love will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 4pm-8pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville, NY.
