Michael Gizzi
Jul 10, 1954 — Jul 12, 2026
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of the best husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and pet Dad ever, Michael A. Gizzi. He was loved beyond words.
Michael was born in the Castle Hill section of the Bronx to Clara (Sforza) and Michael Gizzi. He was blessed with a loving family and wonderful friends that he remained close with to this day. He went to school in the Bronx and was a proud member of his High School Band. Michael was a talented musician, able to play multiple instruments well.
As an adult, Michael went on to own his own alarm business, A&R Alarm, and worked hard all his life to provide a beautiful, safe home in Stony Point for his family. The house was always full of family members, including his nieces and nephews, who always thought of him as a "second Dad"- always there when needed, or just to play video games together. Nothing made him happier than watching the Jets finally win a game with his family, except for maybe shooting off fireworks with them on the Fourth of July.
He had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor, often inventing and singing his own funny "theme songs" about his family members. Everyone recognized the "Michael scowl" and knew it was just a put-on, because there was no one with a bigger heart than him. At times, he would rant about the multiple rescue animals he found himself sharing his house with, but he would always end up saying "Just bring them home." He would do anything for anyone who needed him, and never once asked for any kind of recognition or repayment. There will never, ever be anyone like him, and this world is a sadder place without him.
He leaves behind his grateful wife Elaine, his wonderful children Kyle and Christina, his sister Janine, brother Steven, and his loving mother Clara. He was predeceased by his father Michael and brother Raymond. Michael also leaves behind his many brother and sister in laws, daughter in law Samantha, nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends who all adored him.
