Nancy Almenas

Nancy F. Almenas passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the age of 77.

Nancy was born in New York, New York, on July 18, 1949, to Frank Viola and Olga Robles. She worked for a cable company in New York City and later served as a lunch monitor and teaching assistant for the North Rockland School District.

Nancy was known for her love of dancing, for being a huge fan of her favorite singer, Marc Anthony, and for keeping a beautiful, welcoming home. Above all, her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family. She will be remembered for her love, warmth, and devotion to those closest to her.

Nancy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bolivar Almenas; her parents, Frank Viola and Olga Robles; and her stepmother, Ramona Viola. She is survived by her children, John Rodriguez, Yvette Mena, and Melissa Almenas; and her grandchildren, Jovan Rodriguez, Ashton Rodriguez, and Andrew Gonzalez.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

The family will receive visitors at T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at St. Peter’s Church in Haverstraw. Nancy will then be laid to rest with her beloved husband at Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spring Valley, New York.
