Gary R. Meyer

Gary R. Meyer born on January 6, 1949 in the Bronx, passed away on April 3, 2026 at Saratoga hospital surrounded by his loving family. Gary grew up in Pearl River NY, moved to Haverstraw as a teenager and graduated from Haverstraw high school. He met the love of his life Margaret Kelly, at the sea wall. They were married in St. Peter's church in Haverstraw on June 6, 1971. He was a sergeant detective in the Town of Haverstraw police department. He retired and moved to Saratoga in 2009.

Gary is best known for his shenanigans. He was always a lot off fun to be around and a little mischievous. Gary is survived by his children Kelly Auriemmo (Christopher Page), James Meyer (Kirsty McCully), Paul Meyer (Sabrina Hall), his four beautiful grand daughters that he loved so much Caitlin, Jessica, Clara and Hazel. Gary is pre-deceased by his wife Margaret, his parents and brother Robert Meyer.

Visitation will be at TJ McGowans in Garnerville on June 5 from 4-8pm. A mass will be held at St. Peter's church on Broadway in Haverstraw Saturday June 6 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the Village of Haverstraw and put in the notes Youth and Family Services.
