Rose Kennell (Mannetta) passed away peacefully at home with her beloved family by her side on June 21, 2026. She was 94 years old. Rose was born on December 19, 1931 in Brooklyn to Dominick and Clara Mannetta. She married the love of her life Patrick Kennell on May 2,1954 and moved to Stony Point NY where they raised their 6 children. Rose’s love for her family was her greatest joy in life and was truly blessed to be surrounded by 26 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 10 great, great grandchildren whom she cared for and doted on. She was talented in so many areas and especially enjoyed cooking, sewing, singing and dancing.

 Above all, Rose’s faith and devotion to God spoke volumes as to how she lived her everyday life. She was regularly involved in her parish St Gregory Barbarigo where she served as a Eucharistic minister, Rosary Society member, and she proudly achieved the status of a 3rd order Carmelite. Rose emulated her faith through charity where she spent a great deal of time in service throughout the community. She was best known for her time spent as a 50+ year volunteer at Helen Hayes Hospital visiting the sick and bringing the eucharist to those in need. Rose spread her love and devotion daily throughout life touching everyone she met along the way. Kindness, generosity and offering a prayer was her signature. She assisted countless people in their quests to find faith and will truly be missed by all. Rose is survived by her children, Richard and Brenda Kennell, Peter Kennell, Donna Kennell, Karen Richardson, Regina and David Stoddard, Kenneth and Ashley Kennell. Rose was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Patrick Kennell and children Patrick Kennell Jr., Cheryl Kennell and George Richardson. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 30 at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church, Cinder Road, Garnerville NY at 11 am, followed by interment at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery 36 West Nyack Road, Nanuet NY. GOD BLESS !
