Daniel Conrad Malitz

Daniel Conrad Malitz, 78, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. Born June 7, 1947 in Saugerties, New York, he was the son of the late William E. Loerzel and Janice Martin Malitz. Dan and his family moved to Beacon, NY during his elementary years, and he excelled on the wrestling team during high school. Upon graduation, Dan joined the U.S. Navy, where he served his country from 1966 until 1970. After being honorably discharged, he joined IBM and moved to Charlotte in 1979, where he met the love of his life, Terry. Dan adored their farm and the animals they raised and rescued. He was an avid Giants fan, loved the outdoors, enjoyed bowling, and loved trips to the beach for all you can eat seafood.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Terry Flowe; sons: Sam and Luke Malitz; sister, Francie Depaolo Shepherd; adoring canine companion, Lila; and many more loving family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by brothers David and Terry.
