Dwayne Gerard Vanaman

Dwayne Vanaman, 49, passed away on April 4, 2026, following a traumatic brain injury sustained in an accidental fall. He had been hospitalized since March 5th and ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

Born in Brookhaven, New York, Dwayne spent much of his childhood growing up along the Jersey Shore, a place he always carried with him. In 2010, he relocated to North Carolina, where he built a successful career in commercial landscaping and was well regarded for his hard work and dedication. His career was placed on hold in 2024 following a serious illness.

Dwayne is survived by his beloved son, River, and his mother, Cynthia Vanaman-Setzer, step-father, Robert Setzer; and his sister, Amanda Kincaid.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Vanaman.

Cremation was private.

A memorial service celebrating Dwayne’s life will be held at 11:00a.m. Friday, June 12, 2026 at Trinity Church, 3000 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.
