Joann Terrell Hobbs

JoAnn Terrell Hobbs, 97, of Charlotte passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025.  JoAnn was born on August 18, 1928, in Monroe, NC to the late Ralph Henry and Edna Carroll Terrell.

    She attended Harding High School and Coker College.

   JoAnn worked for the Duke Power Company before embracing her role as a homemaker. She was an avid golfer and a loyal N.C. State Wolfpack fan. She was also a long-time member of Myers Park Country Club and a Member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

   JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Howard Hobbs of 65 years and her grandson Christopher Hobbs.  She is survived by her four sons: Scott Hobbs of Charlotte, Hunter Hobbs (Carol) of Calgary, Alberta, Eric Hobbs (Debbie) of Charlotte, Richard Hobbs (Julie) of Charlotte.  Grandchildren Kelsey Osepchuk (Conor), Ashley Hobbs, Brian Hobbs (Haley), Kirsten Spencer, Erin Yeargin (Garret). Six Great-Grandchildren.

     The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the entire staff of Brookdale Carriage Club Clare Bridge (Memory Care Unit), as well as to Ashlee from VIA Hospice of Charlotte.

   A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Tribute & Tallent Funeral Service, 1937 N. Sharon Amity Rd, Charlotte.  The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
