Stephanie Jean Rivers

Stephanie Jean Rivers, 78, passed away on October 2, 2026. Born June 10, 1947, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the eldest daughter of Albert and Rose Carr. She was an avid supporter and former officer of Temple Solel in Fort Mill. She regularly attended folk music festivals and was well known in the greater Charlotte area bluegrass music scene, where she was known as their “Alpha Groupie”.

Stevie, as she was known, was a loving and kind soul with a wonderful and ever-present smile. She was the wife of Dale Rivers for over 52 years. She was mother to Ami Goodman, grandmother to Allison and Madeline Stenhouse, and great-grandmother to Asher.
