Stephen Allan Stanley

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the very unexpected passing of Stephen Allan Stanley, 36, of Statesville, NC, on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC.

Stephen was the son of the late Donna Brown Stanley and Roland Lee Stanley. He was born on July 16, 1990, in Iredell County.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Jase Stanley; his fiancée, Brittany Sierra-Lee; and his daughters, Alaina Nicole and Malia Jade (affectionately known as "Little Money"), all of the home.

He is also survived by his sister, Amber Stanley Grindel (Jerry Braswell); his nieces, Chloe Elizabeth, Emma Ann, and Lillian "Lilly" Grace Braswell of Texas; as well as his beloved dog, Karma, and his bearded dragon, Draco.

Stephen worked for Brown's Remodeling, where he quickly became his Uncle Ronnie's right-hand man, who Stephen really looked up to. He was very smart and learned very quickly, always taking great pride in his work no matter what he was working on. He loved painting houses, refinishing hardwood floors, and hanging drywall, and he was well on his way to becoming a real craftsman as he learned electrical wiring.

He was an amazing father, brother, uncle and friend.

We know he is now in peace, resting in God's loving arms.

A celebration of Stephen's life will be held at a later date.
