Helen Fern Robison Findlay

Helen Fern Robison Findlay, 86, of Hesperia, California, passed away on June 4, 2022 from complications of pneumonia.

Helen was born on April 21, 1936 to Lindon Wells Robison and Alice May Ashby Robison in Fillmore, Utah. After graduating from Millard High School  in 1954, she went on to study music at Brigham Young University.

In 1957, Helen met Jack Reed Findlay of Panaca, Nevada, and they were sealed for time and all eternity September 7, 1957 in the Manti, Utah temple.  Together, they raised 7 children and adopted 1 daughter.

Helen loved being a wife and mother and dedicated her life to this cause. She was passionate about music and instilled that love to each of her children through lessons of all kinds. She used her many musical talents to serve her church as the organist and accompaniast of countless performances. She was industrious and would make our clothing. She also thoughtfully made beautiful personalized needlepoints for her children and many grandchildren. Our mother was conscious of healthy eating and made the nutrition of her family a high priority. After the birth of Janette who has special needs, Helen became invested in educating herself and her family into methods of caring and providing a high quality of life for her. She became an advocate for families with these types of needs and regularly donated her time and resources to these efforts.  Helen excelled at supporting her family through the many passions and difficulties of their lives - her mission was truly serving others.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents Lindon Robison, Alice Robison and beloved daughter-in-law Kim Findlay. She is survived by her husband Jack, her children, Craig (Sally) Findlay, David Findlay, Russell (Lynell) Findlay, Brian (Jennifer) Findlay, Kent (Anna K) Findlay, Gaylynn Hansen, Janette Findlay, Leticia (Gary) Mikesell, her sister LaRae Giles, her brothers Wendell Robison, Lindon Robison, and Bryce Robison. Her legacy of faith will live on through her 23 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 10862 Maple Ave, Hesperia, California June 25, 2022 at 11:00am. In lieu of a viewing, there will be a room set up for respects open at 10:00am. Graveside services to be held at a later date in Fillmore, Utah.
