Jimmy Lee Bays
Jan 28, 1947 — May 28, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, and friend, Jimmy Lee Bays, who left us peacefully on May 28th, 2025 at the age of 78. A man of strength, resilience, and kindness. Jim was a proud Grandfather, U.S. Air Force Vietnam Veteran, ASU Alumni and golf enthusiast.
Born on January 28th 1947 in Marshall Illinois, Jim was a loving father to Charles & Chad Bays and a devoted grandfather to Michael, Mason & Adler. He cherished the time spent with his family, always eager to share stories or offer wisdom. His sense of humor was legendary, and he had an uncanny ability to make everyone around him smile, no matter the circumstances.
Jim was also an avid golfer, a passion he enjoyed throughout his life. Whether on the course with friends or teaching his children the basics of the game, he found peace and joy in the sport.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, humor, and kindness. We will miss his wit, and his unwavering resilience to the end. While we mourn his passing, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit will continue to live on in the memories we cherish.
Rest in peace, We love you, and we will never forget the impact you made on our lives.
