In Loving Memory of Mariella Pedraza
1937 – 2026
It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Mariella Pedraza, who peacefully departed this life on July 10, 2026, at the age of 88.
Mariella was a gentle, kind-hearted woman whose quiet presence brought comfort to everyone around her. She found happiness in life's simple pleasures—caring for her beloved plants, knitting with love, and taking peaceful walks with her devoted caregivers. Though reserved by nature, she delighted in listening to Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra and treasured the laughter and companionship she shared with her dear family and close friends.
She is lovingly remembered by her son, Carlos Pedraza; her daughter, Alexandra Cosgrove; her daughter-in-law, Carrie Pedraza; her niece, Melba Philpott, and her husband, Frank Philpott; her niece, Libia Londono; her grandson, Rico Pedraza, and his wife, Amanda Woodward; and her cherished best friend, Laura Vincent, whose loyal friendship spanned more than 30 years, bringing Mariella comfort, joy, and countless moments of laughter throughout her life. She also leaves behind her extended family in Colombia and Los Angeles, as well as the caring community at The Redwoods Senior Community.
Mariella's gentle spirit, quiet strength, and unwavering kindness touched many lives and will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Rest in peace, Mariella. You will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
