Rose-Marie Birgitta
Feb 26, 1949 — Feb 5, 2024
It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved mom, Rose-Marie Birgitta (Wikströmer) Rico, who passed away on February 5, 2024 at the age of 74 in San Francisco, CA.
Born on February 26, 1949, in Gothenburg, Sweden, she grew up in Gothenburg and later moved to San Francisco. She was a dedicated and loving sister, aunt and cousin to her entire family, and a devoted mother and grandmother (farmor) to her son, Andre Rico and Grandchildren Aidan, Lucas and Antonio.
Rosa, Rosey, Rose Marie, or Twiggy as she was sometimes called was a beautiful and outgoing woman with a big heart and an even bigger personality. She had an infectious smile and a helluva sense of humor. She would tell stories and jokes and just laugh and laugh. She was often the life of the party and had so many friends.
Rose was a kind and generous soul, always putting others' needs before her own. Her love and compassion extended to all those who knew her, and she will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her laughter and her infectious personality.
She is survived by her son, Andre Rico, three grandsons, Aidan Rico, Lucas Rico and Antonio Baltodano, her brother Ingemar Wikströmer and her sister Anita Wikström, who will miss her dearly.
A remembrance will be held for immediate family and friends on April 28th from 2-4pm at 2251 Market Street, SAN FRANCISCO, CA, 94114.
Rest in peace, dear Rose-Marie. You will forever be in our hearts and memories.
