Suad Marie Molitor

Suad Marie Molitor (nee Khourieh) was born in Kingston, Jamaica W.I. on Nov. 12, 1941. Her parents Marie and Michel both emigrated from Damascus, Syria. She attended Convent of Mercy Academy. Her first marriage was to Raymond Yates of Southampton, U.K. Sue and Ray emigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1967. They separated in 1973 and Sue moved to Vancouver, Canada. Their divorce became final in 1977. Sue, now a Canadian citizen, emigrated to Los Angeles and went to work as a word processor for the law firm of O'Melveny & Myers. There she met her second husband Doug; they married August 25, 1987. Sue and Doug had one daughter, Deirdre Jane Molitor, born in 1991. They made their home in Altadena, California from 1987-2003, then moved to Monterey Hills in the city of Los Angeles, and finally to Covina, California. She was Sue or Susie to her friends. She loved travel (they honeymooned in Europe) and especially train trips. Her favorite cities were Vancouver BC, Toronto, Las Vegas and New York City. Her hobby was making jewelry. She passed away after an illness of three weeks on January 12, 2024, surrounded by friends and family.
