Thurman Leroy Spencer  was born April 7, 1952 to his parents Thurman Leroy Spencer Sr. (who preceded him in death) and Alice Jean  Spencer of Los Angeles California.  Thurman was the oldest son to this union.

Thurman enjoyed singing and playing several musical instruments in his early life.  He also learned the trade of mechanics.

Thurman leaves to cherish his memory, La Rue Spencer, Tafari Spencer, Stepfather Verdo Cox, Sisters: Alice Rosalee Spencer, Ondranice Cox, Vera Marie Antoinette Cox, Brothers: Reginald George Cox, Fernando Martinez Cox, Ernest Antonio Cox, Rodney Carl Cox Sr., Nieces: Candis JaVo'n Cox, Tyeisha Richard, Violet Richards, Quanesha Richard, Angela Green, Akeisha Cox, Trinity Cox, Alexandria Ford, Nephews: Rodney Carl Cox Jr., Reginald George Cox Jr., Joseph Richard, Joe Lee Richard, Alexander Ford, Sister-In-Laws: Gloria Cox, Laureen Cox, Ericka Cox and a host Sister-In-Laws, Cousins, Aunt: Bessie Anderson, Family And Friends.
