Gail A. Lassonde

Gail Lassonde, 89 of Lakeville, MN, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on September 16, 2025.  

She was born on April 5, 1936 to Arvid and Evelyn (Olson) Engstrom in Two Harbors, MN.  Gail graduated from Two Harbors High School in 1954.  She met her husband, Lyle, and married in 1956, settling in Richfield, MN.  As a homemaker, Gail loved playing the piano, learned various crafts, a favorite being calligraphy. She enjoyed a career as an administrative assistant, retiring in the 1990’s.  In retirement, she loved being “grandma and great grandma” most of all.  

Gail was always dedicated to her family and enjoyed spending time with her relatives, and friends.  She and Lyle enjoyed traveling and spending lots of time at the family cabin.  

She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle Lassonde (of 56 yrs.), parents Arvid and Evelyn Engstrom, sister Patricia (Engstrom) Conner, and Daughter in-law Kristine Lassonde.  She is survived by sons Larry (Pam) Lassonde, James Lassonde; two grandchildren Luke (Michelle) Lassonde, and Danielle Lassonde; three great grandchildren; a niece, four nephews, and many cousins.  

Per her wishes, a private family memorial and interment will be held at a later date.
