Alex Garcia

Sep 20, 1932 — Nov 3, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alex Garcia, who departed this life on November 3, 2025, at Adventist Rideout Hospital.

Born on September 20, 1932, in Sabinal, TX, he was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, and a great friend to many.

He was a lifelong resident of the Tierra Buena area. He was a hard-working dedicated man who started working at a very young age on his family's ranch.

Later in life he became a Barber and had a lot of loyal customers that eventually became his friends. He was a man of faith and had immense love for the lord.

He enjoyed his family gatherings where he would give his famous speeches. Alex was gifted with a beautiful voice and loved to sing for his family and whoever would listen.

In addition, he always looked forward to the holidays. He had a great sense of humor and loved making everyone laugh.

Some of his favorite hobbies were buying scratch off tickets, trips to the casinos, and watching his two favorite teams play, The San Francisco Giants and The Las Vegas Raiders. He enjoyed his daily trips to Walmart to shop and visit with the employees.

He is survived by his son, Michael Garcia (Yolanda), of Yuba City, CA; daughters, Susan Alaniz (Alfredo), of Brownsville, TX, Judy Garcia (Nico), of Live Oak, CA, Jennifer Carrillo, of Live Oak, CA, and Pamela Maldonado (Sergio), of Gridley, CA; sisters, Lydia Garcia, and Barbara Garcia Jupina; 19 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

We want to thank all who cared for our loved one at Adventist Rideout Hospital, especially his amazing nurse, Amanda.

There will be a Viewing at Ullrey Memorial Chapel 817 Almond Street in Yuba City, CA, on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 4 PM, followed by the Rosary at 5 PM.

The funeral will be on Tuesday November 11, 2025, at 11 AM, at Saint Isidore's Catholic Church 222 Clark Ave, Yuba City, CA, followed by a burial at Sutter Cemetery.
