Bobbie Labrue
Dec 4, 1947 — Aug 21, 2025
It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Bobbie (Brotherton) LaBrue, on August 21, 2025.
She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend from Sutter, CA. She was the much beloved wife of Clarence LaBrue, for 49 years, before his death in January of 2016.
Bobbie was born December 4, 1947, in Colusa, CA, to Robert and Mildred Brotherton. She attended both Colusa and Sutter Union High Schools.
Bobbie was a devoted homemaker, dedicated her life to creating a warm, welcoming home filled with kindness, laughter, and unconditional love.
In her younger years, she enjoyed camping with her family, riding motorcycles, fishing, and taking long drives around the Buttes.
Throughout her life, she had a spirited passion for playing cards, especially Texas Hold-Em, and it was around the card table that her joyful spirit made her many friends.
In her later years, she loved gardening, cooking, and spending endless hours with their grandchildren. Whether surrounded by old friends or meeting new ones, she had an innate ability to bring people together, and make everyone feel like family.
The sound of her laughter while playing cards will forever echo in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know and love her.
Her greatest joy and legacy were her family, who will always cherish her love, wisdom, and the countless memories she gifted them.
Though she may no longer be at our side, her gentle spirit and laughter will live on in all who had the privilege of sharing in her life.
She and her favorite saying "I love you Sweetie" will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
She was proceeded in death by her mother, Mildred; father, Robert Brotherton; and daughter, Dustie, who died during childbirth.
Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Lori (LaBrue) Rogers; and husband, Ryan Rogers; her daughter Shannon (LaBrue) Velazquez; and husband, Dan Velazquez; grandchildren, Michael Walberg and his wife, Molly, Christian Walberg, Mason Rogers, and Mackenzie Rogers; sister, Sheryl (Brotherton) Armstrong, and Donna (Brotherton) Taws; many nieces and nephews; and eight adorable great-grandchildren, who called her "Gigi".
Bobbie and Clarence will be laid to rest together on September 19, 2025, at 11 AM, at the Sutter Cemetery with a Celebration of Life luncheon to follow.
