It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ellen Kay McKasson, 79, on December 23, 2025.
She departed this world with a profound legacy of love and unwavering strength, comforted by the knowledge that she was going home to her Heavenly Father. She faced her final days with courage and without fear.
In her later years, Kay found joy in traveling with her sisters, brother-in-law, daughter, and grandchildren.
These experiences enriched her life and strengthened the bonds with her loved ones. Her love for her family was boundless, and the memories they created together will be forever cherished.
Kay celebrated her family's accomplishments and was a steadfast presence through life's challenges, always offering encouragement and unconditional love.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her daughter, Tonya Beebe, of Lincoln, CA; grandchildren, Amber Rhoades, of Orland, CA, Tessa Rhoades, of Lincoln, CA, Lacey Rhoades, of Marysville, CA, Zachary Rhoades, of Luke Air Force Base, AZ; three great-grandchildren, Michel Tozier, Dahlia Tozer and Sullivan Tozier; sisters, Gerldine Bushnell, Alice Jo Welch, and Linda Sue Hargrave; brother, Gene Paker.
A service to honor Kay's life will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, beginning at 1 PM. The ceremony will take place at Sutter Cemetery, located at 7200 Butte Avenue, Sutter, CA. All arrangements for the service are being managed by Ullrey Memorial Chapel.
Following the service, family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of Kay's life. This gathering will be held at the Harvest Room, 1475 Tharp Road, Yuba City, CA.
The family welcomes everyone to come together, share memories, and honor Kay's legacy.
