Satinder Davit, of Yuba City, CA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on December 3, 2025. Satinder Nath Davit, son of the late Bhagat and Durga Davit, was born on October 3, 1929, in Uganda Africa.

Satinder came to Yuba City, CA, in 1949, as a young student with hopes for a prosperous future. While pursuing his education, he worked diligently in agriculture to earn money towards his schooling.

His hard work and determination led him to graduate from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, CA, with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering.

Though he achieved academic success, his lifelong passion for agriculture never faded. He continued farming throughout his life, becoming a respected leader within the agricultural community.

He was a Director for the California Canning Peach Association for 25 years, and served on the California Cling Peach Advisory Board for 22 years.

Satinder greatly valued his health and well-being. He had a strong passion for exercise and staying fit, maintaining an active lifestyle throughout his life.

He was also an avid reader with an exceptional love for learning. His intelligence, curiosity, and dedication to self-improvements were evident in everything he did.

Above all, he was a hardworking, loving, and deeply passionate man. He served as a role model not only to his family, but to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

His generosity and unwavering commitment to helping others left a lasting impact on his community. He will be remembered for his wisdom, kindness, remarkable work ethic, and the joy he brought to those around him.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 55 years, Saroj Davit. He also leaves behind Jimmy (Namrita), Steve (Rachel), Nina (John), Ranjit (Elizabeth), Rajeev (Chitra), and Reena; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sheila; and brothers, Rabinder and Narinder Davit.

Funeral services will be held on December 11, 2025, at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, followed by prayer services at the Tierra Buena Sikh Temple.

May his soul rest in peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire all who knew him.
