Gloria Angela Cabodi

Gloria was born on June 1, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Dominick and Eleanor Sena. She was one of five siblings. At the age of nine, she moved with her family to the San Fernando Valley in California, where she spent her formative years. 

During junior high, Gloria met Ann Sheridan (Rose), beginning a lifelong friendship that remained dear to her heart. She later attended San Fernando High School. 

At the age of 20, while working as a waitress, Gloria met the love of her life, Tony Cabodi. They were married in January 1959 and shared 64 years of marriage together, building a life centered around love and family. They raised three children—Anthony, Gina, and Annette—in Granada Hills, California. In 1978, encouraged by a longtime family friend, Chuck Alexander, they relocated to Oregon, settling in a home he custom built for them in Milwaukie. 

Gloria had a creative spirit and a deep love for making things with her hands. She learned to sew at a young age and later became an avid cook and baker, known among family and friends for her delicious meals and wide assortment of desserts. In the late 1970s, she discovered a passion for painting, creating beautiful works inspired by nature, wildlife, and flowers. 

Of all her talents, crocheting brought her the greatest joy. She poured love into every piece she made—bedspreads, blankets, hats, sweaters, and more—many of which became cherished keepsakes for those lucky enough to receive them. 

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Dominick Sena (1943), Eleanor Sena (Drakos) (1976), her sister, Frances Walsh (1969), her son, Anthony Cabodi (1990), her brother, Larry Sena (1996), her sister, Elaine Drakos (2009) and her husband, Tony Cabodi (2023). Survivors include her brother, Chris Drakos, daughter, Gina Cabodi-Storms (husband Guy Storms), daughter, Annette Cabodi Damm (ex-husband Brian Damm), grandson Trevor Storms (wife Cayli Storms), grandson Nick Storms, granddaughter Jordyn Damm, grandson Dylan Damm, great-granddaughters, Adira and Ellie Storms (parents Trevor and Cayli Storms). 

Gloria will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and the love she shared so freely through her family, her friendships, and everything she made with her hands. She had a naturally positive, easygoing spirit and a laugh that came often—bringing comfort, joy, and a sense of ease to nearly everyone who knew her.
