Lilly Schatz Jensen
May 20, 1968 — Apr 8, 2026
"The Zaritza of Salem"
Lilly was born in a little town in Kazakhstan, born of the love of Edward Schatz and Lidia Krom, later to be joined by a sister, Nina and a brother, Victor. Sincer her family was of German descent, they moved to Neustadt Weinstrasse, Germany in 1988 where she met an American GI by the name of John Jensen, who was stationed on a remote radio site there. After a close and long distance relationship they were married on August 6th, 1991. Lilly then moved with John to the United States to live in Salem, Oregon. She worked very hard, studying for 3 years to gain her US citizenship, which she received in 1994. She worked a few odd jobs until she became interested in Russian-English translation, which she ended up excelling at. Lilly worked for a number of different translation agencies over the course of the next thirty years. She is deeply loved by the Russian community and will be greatly missed...
Lilly loved her cats and squirrels and every other animal you could think of, with the exception of large dogs. She lived a fun and exciting life until she was ripped from our world, leaving a hole that will never be filled.
"Ich Liebe Dich" mein Schatz.
