Patricia Stone — A Mother, a Friend, and a Guiding Spirit
As her children grew into adulthood, Patricia’s relationships with them continued to deepen and evolve. She became not only a mother, but also a trusted friend and confidante. Through heartfelt conversations, they gained a deeper understanding of one another, revisited childhood memories, and explored the experiences that shaped their lives. What made these bonds so special was Patricia’s ability to listen with an open heart, offering understanding without judgment.
Patricia had a thoughtful and insightful way of looking at life. She shared her perspectives, personal reflections, and dreams with those closest to her, often leaving them with something meaningful to consider long after their conversations ended. Some of the dreams she shared seemed to echo events and circumstances that later unfolded in their lives, adding another layer of wonder and meaning to the connections she cherished.
Professionally, Patricia was a dedicated and accomplished woman who spent many years serving others in healthcare. She worked in patient services and account management at University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, North Vista Hospital, and Desert Parkway Behavioral Hospital. At UMC, she supervised a team of 23 patient account representatives, demonstrating leadership, organization, and a commitment to helping others. Her talents extended beyond healthcare into workplace innovation, where she earned recognition for a suggestion that improved the flow of materials in a fabrication shop. She also embraced her creative side through her involvement with local talent and entertainment in Las Vegas, including providing entertainment at the Fitzgerald Hotel on Fremont Street.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Patricia’s greatest impact came through the lives she touched. She offered guidance without judgment, opened her home to those who needed a place to rebuild, and shared her wisdom and compassion generously. She had a way of making people feel heard, welcomed, and understood.
Patricia leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, wisdom, and service. The conversations she shared, the lessons she imparted, the kindness she extended, and the memories she created will remain treasured gifts to her family and all who knew her. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her influence will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved and the lives she helped shape.
