Cyndy Schlee

Cynthia “Cyndy” (Skelton) Schlee, age 74, of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, in Fort Collins.

Cyndy was born on March 31, 1951, to Tina and Tony Duran. She shared a special lifelong bond with her identical twin sister, Donna, and is also survived by her sister, Karen Duran.

She spent her early years in Denver and graduated from West High School. She later attended Colorado State University, where she studied occupational therapy. Throughout her life, Cyndy lived in Denver, England, Aspen, and eventually made her home in Fort Collins.

Cyndy worked as an esthetician and nail technician. She had a sharp mind, especially when it came to trivia — a pastime she truly enjoyed. She was also an avid reader and especially loved the Harry Potter and Outlander series.

On May 20, 2013, Cyndy married Bruce Schlee. The two met online and built a loving life together, filled with companionship, laughter, and shared adventures.

Cyndy is survived by her husband, Bruce Schlee, and her sisters, Donna and Karen.

A Memorial Service for Cyndy will be held on March 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Affinity Theatre - 4201 Corbett Drive, Fort Collins, CO 80525.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bruce Schlee in care of the family.
