Donald Glenn Wagner

Donald Glenn Wagner, Jr., age 74, of Longmont, Colorado, passed away on July 20, 2026. He was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, on April 2, 1952, to Donald Glenn Wagner, Sr. and Patricia Ann McDermott Wagner. Don grew up in Boardman, Ohio, and graduated from Cincinnati Bible Seminary with a degree in music.

Music was Don’s lifelong passion. An exceptionally gifted pianist, his talent took him across the country before he made Colorado his home over 30 years ago. Throughout his decades in Colorado, Don made a lasting musical impact on many communities. His accomplishments include extensive work in musical theater: Jesters Dinner Theatre in Longmont, Wayside Inn in Berthoud, and Peanut Butter Players children’s theater in the Boulder area. In previous years, Don played for the worship services at Longs Peak United Methodist Church in Longmont. More recently, he played for the services at the Latvian Lutheran Church in Lakewood and accompanied the choirs at Silver Creek High School in Longmont, where he deeply loved his students.

Don was affectionately known as “Donboy” by his surviving sisters: Cyndi Wilkins of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Rhonda Wagner Smith of Boardman, Ohio. He is also lovingly remembered by his niece, Jennifer Murnock, and his nephews, Jason and Ryan Depp. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 25, at 3:00 PM at Lifebridge Christian Church, 10345 Ute Hwy, Longmont, CO.
